The Discus Music residency at the Horse Hospital continues with Martin Pyne's Chalk Horses Trio. This project explores the intersecting sonorities of vibraphone and Rhodes piano, drawing from Pyne and David Beebee's previous collaborative work. The performance features lush impressionism, dark atmospheres, and intricate textures. Josephine Davies will open the evening with a solo saxophone set before joining the trio for the second half of their performance. The Horse Hospital residency takes place on the third Sunday of each month, showcasing artists from the Sheffield-based independent label Discus Music.
