The Spanish National Orchestra makes its Proms debut under Chief Conductor David Afkham, bringing a programme of vibrant Spanish-themed works. Guitarist Rafael Aguirre joins for Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, a celebrated vision of Spain’s musical heritage. The programme also features Ravel’s hypnotic Boléro and Alborada del gracioso, alongside colourful orchestral suites from Manuel de Falla’s ballet The Three-Cornered Hat.
