A nostalgic choral night.
The London City Orchestra performs Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 2, the “Resurrection”, at Fairfield Halls. This powerful work explores themes of passion and uplift through its grand symphonic and choral movements. Joining the orchestra are two distinguished choral ensembles. The Elysian Singers, one of the UK’s leading chamber choirs, are known for their expressive sound and adventurous programming. They are joined by the Hesperos Choir, a London-based group noted for their collaborative spirit and musical storytelling. Under the leadership of conductor Adrián Varela, celebrated for his engaging performances and rapport with both orchestra and vocalists, this concert promises a moving and joyful communal musical celebration.
