Formed by Henry Birdsey in 2021 as a recording project, Old Saw has evolved into a collective of revolving members originating from the northeastern United States. The group crafts experimental acoustic music utilizing a diverse array of instruments including organs, fiddles, tape loops, pedal steel, hurdy-gurdy, banjo, harmonicas, and bells. Following four LPs released via Lobby Art Editions and Worried Songs, the band expanded into live performances in 2026, building upon their 2025 double LP release, The Wringing Cloth.
