Balladeste Single Release

Balladeste celebrate the release of the first single from their forthcoming album 'Imprints' with an intimate evening of live music. The performance blurs the lines between old and new, drawing on shared influences from ancient roots to post-classical contemporary textures. The event features two sets of original compositions that are vibrant and experimental yet melodic and filmic in quality. The night also features a collaboration between multi-instrumental composer Fred Thomas and singer/viola de gamba player Lucine Musaelian. Their music pairs settings of Armenian poetry with medieval chants, creating a haunting atmosphere where prepared piano and abstract microtonal textures meet traditional vocal monodies.
