Ain Bailey: Sonic Stories
An underground, homegrown experimental night.
Ain Bailey’s Sonic Stories workshop takes as its starting point the Art On The Underground commission Maybe It’s Because I’m A Londoner. The project reflects on the loss of over 70 significant cultural and community spaces in London over the past 50 years. Participants are invited to explore the erasure of these meeting places through listening, sound, and collective conversation. This session is part of The Trembling City, a series developed with the Sonorous Cities project exploring sound and spatial justice. Participants are encouraged to share sounds and sonic moments from their lives that resonate with missed urban spaces. Ain Bailey is a composer, artist, and DJ whose work frequently considers the role of sound in identity and memory.
