Denmark’s NOVO Quartet, founded in 2018, has garnered international acclaim by winning major prizes at competitions in Geneva, Heidelberg, and Trondheim. In 2025, they joined the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists program. The ensemble solidified its reputation among elite young groups with a distinguished debut recording featuring works by Shostakovich, Matias Vestergård, and Nielsen. Their program for this performance includes Mendelssohn's String Quartet no. 2 in A minor and Nielsen's String Quartet no. 2 in F minor.
