Dudamel Leads Prokofiev & Stravinsky
Former LA Phil Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall with a program of rhythmic wonders. Prokofiev’s Fifth is a lyrical and rhythmical symphony reflecting on the greatness of the human soul, balancing power with intimate moments. Much like Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, his Symphony in Three Movements is a rapturous and exhilarant work marked by punchy chords and quirky riffs. The program opens with a brand-new work by composer Zosha Di Castri.
