The global piano star returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall for a highly anticipated solo recital. Lang Lang performs Mozart’s playful Rondo alongside two of Beethoven’s most beloved piano sonatas—the “Pathétique” and his emotionally charged penultimate sonata. After intermission, the program travels to Spain with Albéniz’s flamenco-flavored Suite española and Granados’ “Quejas” from Goyescas. The evening concludes with works by Franz Liszt, featuring the lightning-fast Tarantella and the moving Consolation No. 2, which the artist describes as a universal prayer.
