HammerFall is a Swedish heavy and power metal band established in 1993 by Oscar Dronjak and Jesper Strömblad. Originally formed while members were in Ceremonial Oath, the group incorporated musicians from influential Swedish metal acts like In Flames and Dark Tranquillity. Their early work, including the track Steel Meets Steel, helped define their sound as they rose through the Swedish music scene.
