The Strokes & Fat White Family
A mainstream, nostalgic garage rock night.
Few bands since the turn of the 21st century have been so influential and illustrious as The Strokes, a group whose 2001 debut album Is This It still remains one of music’s most celebrated long players. The group’s subsequent four LPs and headline shows across the globe have seen their profile continue to rise, also buoyed by their respective individual projects and collaborations. Formed in Peckham in 2011, South London's Fat White Family offer a skuzzy mix of country, rock & roll, post-punk, and nihilistic psychedelia. Their albums and live shows have garnered critical and public adulation, recalling the likes of The Fall and Butthole Surfers. Alex Cameron is a synth and indie-rock artist from Sydney, Australia, known for his obscure blend of synth-pop and neo-electronica. He has become a solo star in his own right, winning plaudits for his oddball brand of sleazy 80's-influenced pop.
