In deze poëtische voorstelling volgen we Icarus, die vastberaden is om de maan naar de aarde te halen. Samen met zijn vrienden beleeft hij een spannend avontuur vol onverwachte uitdagingen. In dit nieuwe oratorium voor kinderen geven een zestienstemmig koor, drie solisten én instrumentalisten stem aan de vrienden en helpers van Icarus. Een verhaal over vriendschap, grenzeloze dromen en een gewaagde vlucht voorbij de grenzen van de fantasie, geïnspireerd door de jeugdroman Rebel met vleugels van Marcel Roijaards.
