A raw classical night.
Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená returns to her roots with a recital of haunting Moravian love songs by Janáček. Accompanied by Malcolm Martineau, she explores the emotional depths of Hugo Wolf’s Mörike Lieder and Sergey Rachmaninov's Op. 38 collection. The evening concludes with a shift in atmosphere to the vibrant world of Arnold Schoenberg’s cabaret-inspired Brettl-Lieder, showcasing the artists' versatility across a diverse and vivid programme.
