A nostalgic, underground classical crossover night.
A cabaret song recital telling the story of musicians who fled Nazi Europe in the 1930s and made Britain their new home. Told through their songs, the story combines romantic nostalgia, dark humor, and post-war optimism as expressed in the 1951 Festival of Britain. The programme features works by Robert Kahn, Karl Rankl, Hans Gál, Mátyás Seiber, and Eric Sanders.
