Orchestre de chambre de Paris
A raw, nostalgic chamber music night.
The Orchestre de chambre de Paris celebrates contemporary women composers through the work of South Korean composer Ehwa Hong. The program features Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for winds, a work still surrounded by mystery more than 250 years after its conception, performed here in Robert Levin's reconstructed version with flute. Stravinsky's Danses concertantes rounds out the evening, a neoclassical work where every section of the orchestra engages in playful, identity-rich solos. Between these two landmarks, Ehwa Hong’s new commission explores cultural mirror games—otherness, influence, and complementarity across continents.
