A nostalgic, bleak opera night.
Deception leads to treachery and devastation when Siegfried is tricked into betraying Brünnhilde. Upon learning the truth of her beloved’s innocence, Brünnhilde returns the ring to the Rhinemaidens and orders that Valhalla be consumed by flames. This all-consuming conclusion to Wagner’s saga features impassioned music, including Siegfried’s Funeral March and Brünnhilde’s Immolation Scene. The production is sung in German with English surtitles displayed above the stage.
