Part of the 'Hot Tropical Nights' series exploring 1950s Rio de Janeiro and Havana jazz scenes, this concert by the Muacy Trio pays tribute to influential Brazilian composer Moacir Santos. Berlin-based musicians Trigo Santana (bass), Mauricio Takara (drums), and Eurico Ferreira Mathias (cello) reinterpret Santos's fusion of jazz, Afro-Brazilian rhythms, and classical composition.
