Formed in early 2024, SEYYARE is a cross-generational Anatolian women's choir under the musical direction of Sema Moritz. Their repertoire spans over ten languages and features centuries-old folk songs, songs of resistance, and historical sound archives from Anatolia, the Balkans, the Caucasus, and Southwest Asia. Performing as part of Pop-Kultur Festival 2026 in collaboration with KW Institute for Contemporary Art, the ensemble uses vocal performance as a practice of collective memory and empowerment.
