Historian Mark Ponte highlights forgotten and famous names of the era, from local pioneers like Boy Edgar to global icons like Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. The lecture is followed by a live concert by drummer Eddy Veldman and his ensemble, recreating the swing and atmosphere of Amsterdam’s pre-war nightlife.
