Jake Xerxes Fussell & Naima Bock
A nostalgic, raw americana night.
Jake Xerxes Fussell is a singer and guitarist from Georgia. As a teenager Jake began playing and studying with elder musicians in the Chattahoochee Valley, apprenticing with Piedmont blues legend Precious Bryant. He later moved to Oxford, Mississippi, where he recorded and toured with Rev. John Wilkins. He is joined by Naima Bock, whose music draws from European folk traditions and her Brazilian heritage. Naima’s music is influenced by the Brazilian standards she heard as a child and her studies in archaeology, creating a sound that connects family, the earth, and generations of musical heritage.
