Mercury Rev is an American psychedelic alternative rock group from Buffalo, New York, that gained cult status after their 1991 debut album “Yerself Is Steam”. The band was originally formed to create soundtracks for experimental student films and features a sound that blends rich, intricate arrangements with an orchestral quality. Over their career, they have released critically acclaimed albums such as “See You on the Other Side”, the breakthrough “Deserter’s Songs”, and 2024's “The Light in You”. Known for their atmospheric live performances, the band incorporates rock instrumentation with clarinet, flute, and synthesizers to create an epic, euphoric experience.
