The programme continues with Dvořák’s dark and intimate Symphony no. 7, a work in which the composer moved away from Slavic folklore towards more ardent, personal expression, often linked to the memory of his mother. Sir Antonio Pappano conducts the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in this evening of masterworks sharing the same minor key.
