London Symphony Orchestra & Sir Antonio Pappano
A nostalgic, slow-burn opera night.
To open the London Symphony Orchestra’s 2026/27 season, Sir Antonio Pappano leads a performance featuring a new UK premiere by Dai Fujikura and Mahler's monumental 'Resurrection' Symphony. This is followed by Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, an expansive 90-minute journey through life and rebirth that utilizes a massive orchestra, two soloists, and a full chorus. The LSO is joined by the London Symphony Chorus along with soprano Maria Bengtsson and mezzo-soprano Noa Beinart.
