An underground classical crossover night.
Fantasia Orchestra opens its 2026/27 Smith Square season with Dame Evelyn Glennie, a pioneering solo percussionist and composer. The programme features a pulsing mix of rhythm and imagination, ranging from percussion-reimagined Vivaldi to Steve Reich’s landmark Different Trains. Alongside works by Albert Schnelzer, Paul Smadbeck, and Glennie herself, the concert includes unique arrangements of Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights and Alexej Gerassimez’s Piazonore. From classical elegance to modern restless momentum, the evening offers a thrilling start to the new season at Smith Square Hall.
