Formed at the Cable Street studios in Limehouse, they are an old-style jazz band that plays rags, blues, song-book foxtrots, and swing numbers. Their diverse repertoire also includes waltzes, beguines, tangos, and polkas, dating from the 1850s to the 1940s. Their music is further influenced by the style of Django Reinhardt, the wider Manouche tradition, Eastern European sounds, and Klezmer styles.
