Formed at the Cable Street studios in Limehouse, they are an old-style jazz band specialising in rags, blues, song-book foxtrots, and swing. Their diverse repertoire also includes waltzes, beguines, tangos, and polkas, with all music dating from the 1850s to the 1940s. The ensemble's style incorporates the music of Django Reinhardt, drawing on wider Manouche traditions, Eastern European influences, and Klezmer. They also perform classic swing hits, including those from the legendary Barry Sisters. The evening begins with a pre-gig dance class hosted by Lesta from Dis Swing Thing.
