Crushed Now–After Turning // Beyond Presence
An underground, slow-burn free jazz night.
Crushed Now—After Turing // Beyond Presence is a concert series exploring hybrid, relational spaces where instruments, technology, and spatial design intersect. This installment, titled Vocal Systems, re-imagines instrumentality as a perceptual and social practice of listening, reconfiguring traditional setups into collective modes of performance. The programme features Verena Lercher's installations for turntables and synthetic voices, Fausto Romitelli's solo for contrabass recorder performed by Susanne Fröhlich, and vocal improvisations by Isabelle Duthoit. Through human-machine exchange, the performance unfolds as a co-creative process where gesture and decision-making are shared between human and artificial actors.
