One of Beethoven’s foremost interpreters, Buchbinder performs the concerto known for its cosmic depth. Conductor Xian Zhang opens the program with Beethoven’s joyous Fourth Symphony, described as a slender Greek maiden between two giants, highlighting its ideal Classical structure between the Third and Fifth symphonies.
