A nostalgic, underground classical piano night.
The Amelio Trio presents a series of innovative works for piano and strings, bridging the past, present, and future. This lively performance features a diverse selection of music that shifts rapidly in character, from the eccentric wildness of Ives to the stillness of Bertelsmeier and the playful inventiveness of Haydn. The concert also includes a world premiere ECHO commissioned work by Helena Winkelmann and concludes with an atmospheric, mysterious piece by Robert Schumann. As a leading chamber ensemble, the Amelio Trio has performed in Europe’s most prestigious concert halls. Their accolades include the 2022 International Chamber Music Prize Frankfurt and second prize at the 2023 ARD International Music Competition in Munich.
