Ute Lemper: Time Traveller
A raw cabaret night.
Die Zeitreisende is based on Ute Lemper's recently published autobiography and features songs from her album Time Traveler. She recounts six decades of her life on stage and over 40 years of theater and music creation across Berlin, Paris, London, and New York. The program takes the audience on a musical journey through time, from Weimar to Buenos Aires, reflecting various eras through memory and anecdotes. In addition to pieces by Weill, Piazzolla, Brel, and others, Lemper performs her own compositions inspired by the texts of Bukowski, Neruda, and Coelho. This poetic evening of music and word explores her feelings as a time traveler and her responsibility as a German artist in the rapidly changing world. Lemper is internationally recognized for her unique interpretations and Broadway performances.
