Drummer Elé Salif Howell, a Bay Area native, performs with a quartet featuring Morgan Guerin, Cecil Alexander, and Ryoma Takenaga. Having started drumming at age two, Howell has apprenticed with Lenny White and toured with jazz luminaries like Gary Bartz, Ravi Coltrane, and Chief Adjuah. His experience spans collaborations with Brandee Younger and Stanley Clarke, influenced by his father, Richard Howell. This performance showcases his contemporary jazz compositions and technical drumming style. Seating is first-come, first-served with limited standing room.
