Some nights you plan. This isn’t one of them. Thursdays Don’t Count is a weekly journey through the sounds of the diaspora, taking place at TWNTY7 Stratford. The night moves across three distinct acts. It opens slow with mellow Afrobeats and R&B, paired with shisha, frozen cocktails, and table games. As the evening progresses, upbeat Afrobeats takes over to fill the dance floor. In the final act, the tempo slows down into a dancehall fantasy with deep basslines and a late-night atmosphere.
