An underground experimental night.
Curated by Tehran Contemporary Sounds, Frequencies of Displacement is a concert series dedicated to electroacoustic and experimental music, sound art, and hybrid live practices—with a focus on artists connected to the Iranian and SWANA diaspora. The project doesn't aim to construct belonging. It starts from a shared condition many artists work through: not fully fitting into scenes, markets, or fixed identities. Rather than treating this as lack, the series approaches it as a productive force. A space where dislocation, rupture, and difference shape the work itself. Across live sets and audiovisual performances, the program brings together voices that resist easy categorization—too unstable, too personal, too “unmarketable” for conventional circuits.
