Shadow of Intent is an American metal band based in New England originally formed by Ben Duerr and Chris Wiseman in 2014. The band has released four albums independently, with their 2025 effort, Imperium Delirium, being their most ambitious work yet. Their music masterfully blends genres including death metal, black metal, symphonic metal, progressive metal, and metalcore. Since their first live show in 2017, they have toured consistently with major acts in the metal scene. The current lineup features Ben Duerr, Chris Wiseman, Bryce Butler, and Andrew Monias.
