Punch Trio performs Jazz contra les cordes, blending gypsy jazz and 1950s hard bop at Aclam Club. Tickets on Mood.
Punch Trio presents Jazz contra les cordes, an imaginary musical encounter between the gypsy jazz of Django Reinhardt and 1950s hard bop. Blending acoustic manouche guitars and double bass, the trio reinterprets classic repertoire by composers like Horace Silver and Duke Pearson with swing, blues, and modern jazz improvisation.
