Swedish clarinettist Martin Fröst leads an evocative journey through the music of the North. The programme features the world premiere of Jacob Mühlrad’s meditation on Jewish spirituality, Kavanah, alongside Andrea Tarrodi’s joyous, bird-inspired Paradisfåglar II. The evening concludes with Jean Sibelius’s windswept Symphony no. 1 in E minor. Guest conductor Anja Bihlmaier leads the London Philharmonic Orchestra in this vibrant exploration of northern colours and textures.
