Shinyribs reassembles the American song bag through the singular vision of Kevin Russell, one of Austin’s most celebrated singer-songwriters. The Austin-based supergroup, currently performing in their "Shortribs" configuration, delivers a tightly arranged powerhouse show that blends Texas blues, Louisiana swamp rhythm, honky tonk, and Oklahoma swing. Led by the iconic voice and hi-jinks of Russell, the ensemble features longtime musical partner Keith Langford on drums, bassist and co-producer Mason Hankamer, and the dynamic singing sisterhood of The Delta Dawns (Kellee Broadway and Schaefer Llana). The lineup is completed by pianist Eric Baker and lead guitarist Cat Clemons. Their performance runs the gamut from tongue-in-cheek humor to poignant stories of family and love, all expressed with a unique grace and groove.
