The body is our first instrument, with rhythm naturally present through the heartbeat, respiration, and movement. This beginner-friendly workshop explores sound exploration (clapping, snapping, stomping) and group dynamics to foster connection and enhance focus. Participants will re-experience familiar sounds and develop new repertoires through improvisation games and group activities. Barbatuques is a pioneering São Paulo-based Brazilian percussion group known for creating music solely with the human body and voice, blending traditional Brazilian rhythms with contemporary styles such as beatboxing and electronic music.
