Bernstein, Broadway and Beyond
A nostalgic hymns night.
Petros Singers celebrate the many colours of American choral music, spanning from 20th-century and contemporary composers to the sparkle of Broadway and jazz. The programme features playful works by Eric Whitacre, meditations by Morten Lauridsen, and the radiant finale of Leonard Bernstein’s Candide. The evening transitions into the Great American Songbook, featuring classics by Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, and Fats Waller.
