London Symphony Orchestra/Half Six Fix – John Adams
Kick-start your evening with a Half Six Fix concert featuring the London Symphony Orchestra. This performance celebrates John Adams as he approaches his 80th birthday in 2027. A long-time collaborator with the LSO as both a composer and guest conductor, Adams is represented here by his work Harmonielehre. Inspired by vivid dreams and myths, the piece blends romantic harmony with minimalist influences to create a contemporary tribute to the symphonic past. Sir Simon Rattle, Conductor Emeritus, provides an expert introduction before leading the orchestra through the performance. The event features screens in the Hall to bring the audience closer to the action in a relaxed atmosphere.
