Curated by pianist Siqian Li, 'Echoes of the Silk Wind' explores a rich musical voyage tracing the cultural exchanges along the Silk Road. Joined by guzheng virtuoso and baritone Kang Yang, the performance spans works inspired by Chinese landscapes, poetry, and Uyghur heritage before travelling westward across the Caucasus, Anatolia, and Andalusia through pieces by Fazil Say, Albéniz, Babajanian, and Chu Wanghua. The performance is presented as part of the Silk Road Music Festival at World Heart Beat.
