A nostalgic classical night.
Two brilliant concerts of Viennese Classicism. Yun Zeng, principal horn of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2024, performs Mozart's Fourth Horn Concerto as a soloist for the first time. Maxim Emelyanychev takes on a dual role as both conductor and pianist, performing Haydn's Piano Concerto No. 11 on the fortepiano before leading the orchestra in Haydn's festive Symphony No. 104. The program opens with Mendelssohn's concert overture Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage.
