The most famous romantic comic opera ever written – THE ELIXIR OF LOVE by Gaetano Donizetti – will be presented for the first time on the stage of Sala Palatului on February 21, 2027, as part of the Musical Extravaganza season. The production brings to life the essence and musicality of bel canto along with the unmistakable charm and humor of opera buffa. The work brings together four characters: Adina, Nemorino, Belcore, and Dulcamara. Through passages of great virtuosity and situational comedy, they tell a story of love, hope, and illusion in a cheerful and sentimental register. The production features the famous aria "Una furtiva lagrima," one of the most beloved sequences in the tenor repertoire, capturing the moment Nemorino realizes Adina's true feelings.
