Dana & Alden are a jazz duo whose music is deeply influenced by personal family history and wanderlust. Their latest album, Papa’s Boat, draws inspiration from their maternal grandfather, whose adventurous life and passion gave them the freedom to express themselves authentically and explore new creative boundaries. Recorded with producer Malcolm Catto, the album blends the duo’s foundation in jazz with elements of indie, pop, rap, and bossa nova, featuring a rich soundscape of saxophone and drums accompanied by a talented backing band.
