Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
An open-air, nostalgic new wave night.
English new wave and synth-pop pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) formed in 1978 in Liverpool. Led by Paul Humphreys and Andy McCluskey, the group has sold over 40 million records worldwide. Known for early experimentation with tracks like “Enola Gay,” they evolved into a major chart-topping act in the 80s with hits such as “If You Leave.” After a long hiatus, the original lineup reunited in 2006 and continues to release acclaimed albums like “History of Modern” and “English Electric.” Joining them is the British electronic trio Zoot Woman. Comprised of Adam Blake, Johnny Blake, and Stuart Price, the group is renowned for blending acoustic instrumentation with electronic tracking to create high-energy live performances that bridge 80s style with modern synth-pop.
