Award-winning saxophonist and composer James Brandon Lewis presents a performance as part of his three-night residency at Roulette. This series brings together improvisers, poets, and multidisciplinary artists across media and generations. The evening kicks off with a split bill featuring a set from Sheela Bringi and Clinton Patterson, followed by the James Brandon Lewis Trio. James Brandon Lewis is a prominent tenor saxophonist known for uniting gospel and jazz with Western classical music, hip-hop, and punk. His projects include the American Book Award-winning Heroes Are Gang Leaders and collaborations with the Messthetics. He is a 2026 Guggenheim Fellow and a Jazz Generations Initiative Continuum Fellow.
