Red Events presents a staging of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Baroque masterpiece, Stabat Mater, within the intimate setting of Kensington United Reformed Church. Mystery Ensemble performs the piece alongside soprano soloist Abigail Barker and countertenor Gleb Zakharov. The performance includes three sections played at authentic 18th-century Neapolitan church pitch with historical lower tuning, accompanied by tailored contemporary lighting design and additional baroque selections.
