
Beethoven: Sonatas for Violin & Fortepiano

Internationally acclaimed musicians Shunske Sato on violin and Shuann Chai on the fortepiano present a programme dedicated to Beethoven's sonatas. Part of the Early Music Days festival's first cycle, 'The Age of Revolutions', this performance features historically informed interpretations on period instruments. The repertoire includes the lyrical 'Spring' Sonata No. 5 in F major, the darker Sonata No. 4 in A minor, and the Twelve Variations on Mozart's 'Se vuol ballare'. The evening concludes with the passionate and powerful Sonata No. 7 in C minor, showcasing the contrasting styles of the composer's career.
