a trail of pomegranate seeds
An underground, slow-burn folk night.
A very personal show about love, lullabies and rooting at many places. Writer and journalist Rasha Hilwi and storyteller Sahand Sahebdivani share their life stories of leaving their homelands and seeking belonging, weaving together personal narratives with songs and folk tales. The journey explores their Palestinian and Iranian roots, ancestors' spirits, and the experience of parenting through the lens of their heritage. Rasha Hilwi is a Palestinian writer and storyteller based in Amsterdam, known for her mother-tongue Arabic texts and cultural curation. Sahand Sahebdivani is a renowned storyteller and founder of the Mezrab stage, whose work is deeply informed by his family's experience as refugees of the Iran-Iraq war.
