Known for his immediately recognisable expressive sound, Lowther has been a mainstay of the LJO for over 30 years. This performance precedes the launch of the double LP "Primetime", showcasing the compositions he has created for the band throughout its 35-year history. Directed by Scott Stroman, the London Jazz Orchestra is regarded as one of the finest ensembles of its kind. These intimate sessions highlight the exceptional writing and soloing capabilities of a group that comprises many of London's premier musicians alongside emerging jazz talents.
